About The Position

A dynamic, high-achieving secondary school in Enfield is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Business & Economics Teacher to join their thriving faculty from September 2026. This is a permanent Business & Economics Teacher role within a school rated Good by Ofsted, known for its ambitious curriculum, strong examination outcomes, and genuine commitment to preparing pupils for success in an ever-changing commercial world. Requirements

  • Hold British QTS or are completing a UK-accredited initial teacher training programme
  • Graduated with a 2:1 or above in Business, Economics, or a closely related discipline from a reputable UK university, ideally Russell Group
  • Can demonstrate meaningful classroom experience within a UK secondary school setting through placements or a substantive teaching post
  • Show clear evidence of structured lesson delivery and measurable pupil progress at KS4
  • Are confident working within an established whole-school behaviour framework
  • Are legally entitled to work in the UK - visa sponsorship is not available
  • ECT applicants are welcomed provided formal UK teacher training has been completed or is in its final stages.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, knowledge-rich lessons across KS4, using real-world examples and current affairs to bring economic and business concepts to life for your pupils.
  • Use assessment data to identify gaps, adapt your teaching, and drive measurable progress towards strong GCSE outcomes.
  • Contribute to departmental planning.
  • Support enterprise enrichment activities.
  • Build strong, productive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues throughout the year.
