About The Position

The Business Development Job Family is responsible for promoting and selling products, services, and solutions to new customers across all levels. Key responsibilities include prospecting for new accounts, securing appointments, identifying customer needs, delivering compelling sales presentations, negotiating terms, overcoming objections, and closing deals. The position focuses on driving new business growth by expanding the client base within targeted market segments and consistently generating revenue aligned with organizational goals. Provides specific functional or subject matter expertise. Primary focus is individual expertise. Skills are typically acquired through university education and experience within a field. May lead others in the capacity of a “player coach”, typically leading smaller teams. May lead projects/processes with moderate risk, and/or complexity; May lead small teams. Prioritizes tasks within team; collaborates and coordinates with other team members. Provides guidance to team members with less experience or knowledge. Solves problems that are difficult and sometimes complex. Uses subject matter knowledge to influence others; May coach and review work of lower-level professionals; Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives; work is guided by team and/or department objectives.
