About The Position

EJF is seeking a driven and highly organized Business Development Specialist to accelerate the growth of our property management portfolio. This role is responsible for prospecting, pursuing, and closing new management opportunities across both local and remote markets. The ideal candidate owns the full business development lifecycle and is energized by building relationships that convert into long-term partnerships. This individual will play a key role in achieving quarterly revenue goals, strengthening EJF’s market presence, and ensuring our value proposition resonates with prospective clients.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition (real estate/property management preferred).
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue targets and close deals.
  • Experience managing a full-cycle growth pipeline from prospecting through contract execution.
  • Familiarity with proposal writing, RFP responses, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems, ideally HubSpot.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Results-driven and goal-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, pursue, and close new property management opportunities across local and remote markets.
  • Carry a defined quarterly revenue target tied to new monthly management fees.
  • Own the full-cycle business development process from initial outreach through signed contract.
  • Lead service-level transitions and contract changes from first communication through execution.
  • Actively manage and advance pipelines using HubSpot CRM.
  • Execute consistent follow-up strategies and outreach cadence to maintain deal momentum and improve conversion rates.
  • Maintain accurate deal forecasting, reporting, and revenue tracking.
  • Partner closely with the Marketing team to ensure campaign alignment, lead flow momentum, and targeted outreach.
  • Coordinate with administrative support for outreach execution, CRM updates, and reporting accuracy.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene and ensure all pipeline activity is documented clearly and consistently.
  • Represent EJF at industry events, networking opportunities, and local market activations.
  • Identify, capture, and qualify new client leads through in-person interactions.
  • Own all post-event follow-up and ensure timely pipeline conversion efforts.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage proposals, pitch materials, and RFP responses.
  • Lead contract negotiations within approved parameters and ensure alignment with company standards.
  • Support the refinement and communication of EJF’s value proposition for prospective clients.
