The Business Development Specialist is responsible for fueling top-of-funnel growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying hospital partnership opportunities. This role plays a key part in executing Core’s growth strategy by generating qualified opportunities in targeted markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Sales, Business, or Market Development within healthcare.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, phone presence, and research abilities.
  • Attention to detail, and proficiency in CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to shifting priorities.
  • Proactive approach to identifying opportunities and collaborating across teams.
  • Exhibit growth mindset and team-orientated behaviors.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using sales enablement tools and managing outreach campaigns preferred.
  • Event lead generation experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build and refine target lists for hospitals, and health systems aligned to growth priorities.
  • Research stakeholders, identify decision makers, and enable multi-threaded engagement strategies.
  • Execute outbound prospecting through high-volume cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and strategic campaigns weekly with persistent follow-up resulting in qualifying leads.
  • Attend business development events and conferences, handle booth setup, badge scanning, and post-event executive follow-ups resulting in qualitative leads.
  • Utilize sales enablement and data tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot) to tailor outreach and track engagement.
  • Qualify prospects through structured discovery, documenting needs, timing, objections, and integration requirements.
  • Independently drive pipeline creation and progression, ensuring a consistent flow of strategic, executive-level discovery meetings and opportunities that materially impact revenue objectives.
  • Maintain and elevate CRM governance standards, proactively ensuring data integrity, structured documentation, and alignment of account intelligence across Sales and Marketing.
  • Track activities, leads, and engagement performance in HubSpot, and provide meaningful weekly insights and recommendations to leadership for monthly reviews.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and other business development partners to align account strategies and ensure cohesive market execution.
