About The Position

City Wide Facility Solutions of Washington is seeking a competitive, energetic, and motivated Business Development Specialist to join their growing sales team. This B2B sales and business development role focuses on connecting with commercial businesses across Washington to introduce them to City Wide’s facility solutions. The specialist will be the first point of contact for prospective clients, responsible for researching businesses, making outbound calls, uncovering needs, and setting qualified appointments for the outside sales team. This role offers an opportunity to build a career in sales, develop professional skills, and increase earnings through performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma; college degree preferred.
  • 1–2 years of B2B outbound sales, call center, prospecting, cold calling, or similar experience preferred.
  • Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized and able to consistently follow a structured sales process.
  • Highly detail-oriented and take ownership of your work.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a larger sales team.
  • Customer-service mindset and know how to create a positive experience from the first conversation.
  • Comfortable learning and using CRM systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Motivated by goals, performance, and the opportunity to earn additional income.
  • Coachable, competitive, persistent, and willing to put in the work.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify businesses that could benefit from City Wide's janitorial and facility services.
  • Make consistent B2B outbound sales calls to prospective commercial clients.
  • Engage decision-makers, learn about their facility needs, and identify qualified opportunities.
  • Set qualified appointments for City Wide's outside sales team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in our CRM system, including prospect information, call notes, scheduled calls, and appointments.
  • Follow up with prospects by sending requested information, thank-you notes, and follow-up communications.
  • Track activity and provide accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Consistently work toward and strive to exceed monthly activity, appointment-setting, and lead-generation goals.
  • Build a strong pipeline of future opportunities through consistent prospecting.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition from initial contact to the sales process.
  • Take on additional responsibilities and projects as needed.
