About The Position

We are looking for a motivated Business Development Representative to help grow our business by connecting with local businesses, understanding their IT challenges, and introducing NerdsToGo as a trusted technology partner. This is a consultative role, not a high-pressure sales job. You will work closely with leadership and technical teams to identify opportunities, set meetings, and help move conversations forward. This is a great role for someone who enjoys building relationships, opening doors, and learning how businesses actually use technology. You do not need to be deeply technical. We will train you on what you need to succeed. If you like talking to people, solving problems, and growing with a local business, we would love to meet you. Requirements

  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Comfortable talking to business owners and decision makers
  • Organized, consistent, and follow-up driven
  • Interest in technology, cybersecurity, or business services
  • Prior B2B sales, business development, or customer-facing experience is a plus

Nice To Haves

  • MSP, SaaS, telecom, copier, payroll, or IT services background is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and engage small and midsize businesses via phone, email, and local networking
  • Qualify leads and understand basic business IT needs
  • Schedule discovery calls and meetings for managed IT and project-based services
  • Follow up with prospects after estimates, proposals, or events
  • Maintain accurate notes and activity in CRM
  • Represent NerdsToGo professionally in the local business community
  • Collaborate with technical staff to ensure smooth handoffs
