About The Position

MT & Associates (MT&A) is a growing, woman-owned sign language and accessibility solutions firm serving government agencies, universities, corporations, conferences, events, and private organizations. We are looking for an experienced Business Development professional with strong government contracting expertise to help identify, pursue, and win new business across multiple markets.

Requirements

  • Experience in government contracting or federal acquisitions
  • Experience in proposal development, solicitation review, or contract administration
  • Experience in business development, sales, outreach, or client relationship management
  • Experience with capability statements, past performance, or compliance documentation
  • Experience researching and evaluating government opportunities
  • Experience managing deadlines, deliverables, modifications, or submissions
  • Strong writer and communicator
  • Comfortable researching, writing, selling, following up, and building relationships
  • Takes ownership, pays attention to details, meets deadlines, and figures out what needs to happen next
  • Persistence, strategic thinking, relationship building, follow-through, and the drive to turn opportunities into revenue

  • Familiarity with FPDS
  • Familiarity with USASpending.gov
  • Familiarity with GovWin or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with GSA resources and schedules

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business across government, corporate, university, conference, event, and private-sector markets
  • Research prospective customers and develop strategies for outreach and follow-up
  • Build relationships through calls, meetings, networking, and other client-facing activities
  • Maintain an organized pipeline and consistently move opportunities toward next steps
  • Identify opportunities to expand services with existing customers
  • Research and evaluate private agencies, federal, state, and other government contracting opportunities
  • Review solicitations for requirements, fit, deadlines, and compliance
  • Develop and coordinate RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, proposals, and other submissions
  • Create capability statements, compliance matrices, past performance narratives, resumes, and supporting materials
  • Track proposal deadlines, contract deliverables, modifications, and requirements
  • Support contract administration, documentation, and invoicing as needed
  • Support marketing and outreach aligned with company growth priorities
  • Develop client-facing materials, advertisements, and business development content
  • Help keep website and marketing information current and relevant
  • Support campaigns, networking, conferences, and other opportunities that generate business
  • Maintain CRM records, opportunities, deadlines, and follow-up
  • Manage document control, version tracking, and proposal reviews
  • Develop and improve SOPs and business development processes
  • Own opportunities from identification through submission, follow-up, and outcome
