About The Position

FCCI is seeking an Agribusiness Business Development Specialist (BDS) for its South Central US territory, which includes Texas, Arkansas, and Missouri. This role is responsible for agency management, driving revenue and profitability growth within the assigned territory. The BDS will collaborate with underwriters to foster agency relationships and establish agency goals, serving as the primary contact for agency partners. The position involves promoting the sales of various property and casualty products through the independent agency system, acquiring and retaining profitable accounts by adhering to sound underwriting principles and company policy. Responsibilities include new account selection, pricing, and direct policyholder service. The BDS will also work with agents to set strategic goals through annual planning sessions. This is a field-based role requiring the candidate to reside within the territory.

Requirements

  • Must reside within the territory (Texas, Arkansas, Missouri).
  • Experience in agency management and progressive growth of revenue and profitability.
  • Ability to partner with underwriters to build agency relationships and establish agency goals.
  • Proficiency in promoting sales of property and casualty products.
  • Skilled in acquiring and retaining profitable accounts through sound underwriting principles.
  • Experience with new account selection, new account pricing, and direct policyholder service.
  • Ability to work with agents to set strategic goals through annual planning sessions.
  • Experience as a marketing representative for agencies.
  • Ability to make decisions in accordance with risk selection and pricing parameters.
  • Experience managing and maintaining agency relationships and business goals.
  • Ability to make recommendations for agent appointments and terminations.
  • Experience assisting with marketing, training, and deploying products and services.
