About The Position

FCCI is a leader in the property & casualty insurance industry, operating in 20 states and expanding. We value a strong local presence and building professional relationships. We are seeking an Agribusiness Business Development Specialist (BDS) for our South Central US territory (Texas, Arkansas, Missouri). The BDS will be responsible for agency management, revenue and profitability growth in the assigned territory. This role involves partnering with underwriters to build agency relationships, establish agency goals, and serve as the central point of contact for agency partners. The BDS will promote sales of property and casualty products through the independent agency system, acquiring and retaining profitable accounts by adhering to sound underwriting principles and company policy. Responsibilities include new account selection, pricing, and direct policyholder service. The BDS will collaborate with agents on strategic goals through annual planning sessions.

Requirements

  • Must reside within the territory (Texas, Arkansas, Missouri).
  • Experience in agency management and progressive growth of revenue and profitability.
  • Ability to partner with underwriters to build agency relationships and establish agency goals.
  • Experience promoting sales of property and casualty products through an independent agency system.
  • Experience in new account selection, new account pricing, and direct policyholder service.
  • Ability to work with agents to set strategic goals through annual planning sessions.
  • Experience as a marketing representative for assigned agencies.
  • Experience making decisions in accordance with risk selection and pricing parameters.
  • Experience managing and maintaining agency relationships and business goals.
  • Experience making recommendations for agent appointments and terminations.
  • Experience assisting with marketing, training, and deploying products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a marketing representative for assigned agencies, making decisions within risk selection and pricing parameters based on authority level.
  • Manage and maintain all agency relationships and business goals in the assigned territory.
  • Make recommendations for agent appointments and terminations.
  • Assist with marketing, training, and deploying FCCI products and services.
