About The Position

Business Technology Integrators (BTI), headquartered in suburban Washington, DC, is currently seeking a Business Development Solutions Architect to join our Corporate Team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping technical strategy, driving growth, and securing new business within the federal contracting space. This individual will bridge capture, proposal, and technical solutioning—ensuring that offerings are innovative, compliant, and compelling to government customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in solutions architecture, systems engineering, or technical business development within the government contracting environment.
  • Technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience designing solutions for federal agencies (DoD, DHS, Civilian, or Intel).
  • Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes and proposal lifecycles.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GovCloud).
  • Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, AWS Solutions Architect, or similar.
  • Prior experience supporting large-scale bids or IDIQ vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of technical solutions for federal RFPs, RFIs, and white papers.
  • Partner with capture and BD teams to shape opportunities, influence requirements, and position the company competitively.
  • Translate customer mission needs into actionable architectures, roadmaps, and implementation strategies.
  • Conduct technical research, market analysis, and competitive assessments to inform solution development.
  • Present solutions to internal leadership, government stakeholders, and teaming partners.
  • Support proposal development, including writing technical volumes, developing diagrams, and ensuring compliance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, integrators, and strategic partners.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, federal IT trends, and agency-specific priorities.
