About The Position

The Business Development Sales Professional is responsible for new account development in existing or new markets. Typically, does not have a base business where they are responsible for the retention or expansion of business at existing customers. This role involves building and executing strategic account plans targeting major defense primes, Tier-1 suppliers, system integrators, and emerging aerospace companies. The position leads customer acquisition efforts, drives market penetration into new applications, programs, and platforms, and generates new opportunities for BLDC motors, voice coil actuators, precision motion control systems, sensors, and customized electromechanical solutions. It also involves establishing and growing executive and engineering relationships with key customers to influence early design-in decisions and secure long-term sourcing opportunities. The role owns the complete sales cycle from opportunity identification through contract award and production ramp, driving priority pursuits from qualification through close by aligning customer requirements with differentiated motion control and electromechanical solutions. This includes leading proposal development, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and business case development, while partnering with engineering, product management, and operations teams to capture strategic opportunities and support multi-year program pursuits. The role also requires monitoring Aerospace & Defense market trends, emerging technologies, competitor activity, and government funding initiatives, identifying growth opportunities across UAVs, missile systems, ground vehicles, advanced air mobility, space, and next-generation aerospace platforms, and translating customer needs and market insights into demand for next-generation architectures, helping shape product roadmaps and solution positioning.

Requirements

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

  • Ability to travel roughly 50%
  • Eligibility to obtain authorization under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Non-US Persons, as defined in the ITAR and EAR, may not be eligible to obtain authorization.
