About The Position

The Business Development Sales Professional is responsible for new account development in existing or new markets. Typically, does not have a base business where they are responsible for the retention or expansion of business at existing customers. This role involves owning relationships with key customers (Primes and Tier-1 Suppliers) to drive early design-in and secure BLDC motor, and sensor sourcing opportunities. It also requires expanding the customer base in key market segments by partnering closely with sales, engineering, and product management teams to prospect and win emerging high-growth customer opportunities, accelerating penetration into next-gen defense and autonomous platforms. The position drives priority opportunities from quote to close by aligning customer needs with differentiated BLDC motor as well as sensor and electrical protection solutions, and champions next-gen solution positioning by translating customer insights into demand for next generation architectures while reinforcing differentiation via performance and supply chain advantages.

Requirements

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation.
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results.
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for new account development within an established geographic territory/product line.
  • Connect, contact, and engage new potential clients and prospects.
  • Develop a strong and consistent pipeline of new business.
  • Analyze customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
  • Innovates and creates sales skills and knowledge of the organization's products, services, and customers.
  • Identify and implement efficiency opportunities such as distributor dashboards, etc.
  • Own relationships with key customers (Primes and Tier-1 Suppliers) to drive early design-in and secure BLDC motor, and sensor sourcing opportunities.
