About The Position

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a frontline professional tasked with generating and qualifying leads for the Opti9 marketing and sales teams. The role involves prospecting and researching potential customers, reaching out to them through various communication channels, and initiating conversations to assess their needs and interests. As a BDR, you will serve as the initial point of contact, educating prospects about Opti9’s products or services, and identifying those who are genuinely interested and have a potential for becoming customers. You will play a crucial role in building a healthy sales pipeline by identifying opportunities and passing qualified leads to the sales team for further engagement and conversion. The BDR role is instrumental in driving growth by ensuring a steady stream of potential clients for the organization.

Requirements

  • Experience with lead generation and marketing automation software, with a preference for proficiency in SalesForce.com
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and proficiency in "Selling via Phone"
  • At least 1 year of experience in positioning technical and integrated IT premium priced solutions and a proven history of successful prospecting
  • At least 1 year of experience in selling technology-based solutions using ROI and other value-added selling approaches, familiarity with large ticket, long sales cycle technology sales items, and a competitive yet assertive personality with the ability to operate effectively independently in a high-pressure sales environment
  • Proven track record of achieving sales lead generation and appointment quotas
  • Ability to multitask daily projects and commitments and employ structured selling methods
  • Strong inner drive and self-discipline
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and follow up on leads, and set appointments for Sales Teams
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Teams to devise lead generation strategies for potential customer opportunities
  • Assist with both inbound and outbound sales and marketing campaigns to generate leads
  • Assist in driving attendance for Virtual and In-Person events in collaboration with the Marketing Team
  • Engage in new business pitches with Sales Team and subject matter experts, taking ownership of lead prospect follow-up
  • Ensure consistent, accurate internal and external communications
  • Effectively communicate and present Opti9’s solutions portfolio and value proposition to customers and prospects
  • Provide timely weekly/monthly sales lead gen activity reports to management
  • Work effectively both within a team and independently
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects
  • Stay informed about the technology industry, including new regulations, product changes, innovations, and trends
  • Meet sales lead generation and appointment quotas
