About The Position

Parallel is seeking a Business Development Representative to join their team. In this role, you will serve as the face of Parallel for students and schools that are seeking care. You will introduce Parallel’s services to prospective clients from B2B marketing channels and referral partnerships with schools and other organizations. You will also follow-up with leads to ensure all their questions are answered, enabling them to make a well-informed decision about whether Parallel is the right choice for their organization. Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in business development or 4-5 years of experience in the classroom.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in business development, sales, or account management.
  • Strong and empathetic verbal communication.
  • High level of comfort making cold calls.
  • Ability to think on your feet and problem solve.
  • Attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.
  • Hunger to learn, grow, and succeed within a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify new business opportunities based on key customer profiles in school districts and other relevant organizations.
  • Apply sales development best practices with email, phone, and social outreach to connect with new prospects.
  • Utilize discovery and objection handling strategies to speak knowledgeably with decision-makers and to build interest in our offerings.
  • Engage with prospects to articulate Parallel’s value proposition.
  • Record contacts and outreach using our CSM (HubSpot/Salesforce).
  • Demonstrate ability to consistently achieve and exceed program targets.
