About The Position

This person will be responsible within the sales team who is in charge of bringing new business opportunities, usually through cold email, cold calls, networking, and social selling. This person ensures the quality of leads while finding lucrative ventures for a business to undertake as it scales and expands. This person is often the first point of contact with potential customers. This position is an in-person role based in Atlanta, GA and requires regular on-site attendance. This is not a remote position.

Requirements

  • Strong professional communication skills including ability to speak and write clearly in English
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Must be able to utilize HubSpot software.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to read and write English
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%
  • BA/BS preferred in Agricultural Business, Animal Science, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields preferred
  • Proven track record of successful sales and/or business development in food industry

Responsibilities

  • Actively manage call schedule in a time-efficient manner
  • Analyzing customer personas and target audience demographics to generate leads
  • Assisting with trade shows, Marketing Items, HubSpot KPIs, Social Media
  • Attending networking events to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Build and foster relationships with existing customers to create new opportunities for revenue growth
  • Collaborate with inter-company departments on sales projects.
  • Collaborating with sales teams to identify and convert prospective customers
  • Compiling lists of potential leads to contact with information

  • Generate and develop new customer accounts through cold calling to increase revenue.
  • Keep the VP of Business Development updated on all business segment market conditions
  • Maintain accurate records, including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, and other documentation.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and developments that affect target markets
  • Maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.
  • Managing a company's inventory by sourcing new vendors
  • Mange long-term customer relationship development at multiple levels.
  • Performing research on competitors, consumer behavior, market trends, product developments and lead acquisition methods
  • Prospecting new customers to discuss services offered.
  • Scheduling meetings between the sales team and customer.
  • Stay current and knowledgeable of all competitors.
  • Travel as needed
  • Use internally generated reports to grow sales, increase profitability, and improve efficiencies.
