About The Position

Sunshine Behavioral Health is seeking a driven, strategic Business Development / Clinical Outreach Representative to accelerate growth across Pennsylvania. This role focuses on territory growth, strategic partnerships, and market expansion within the addiction recovery and mental health services sector. The representative will be responsible for developing and executing a territory growth strategy, identifying and converting new referral sources, building long-term partnerships, researching markets, collaborating with Marketing, supporting Admissions, tracking pipeline activity in Salesforce, and exceeding growth targets. The ideal candidate is competitive, forward-thinking, and energized by building strong referral networks, owning a territory, and making a measurable impact.

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of healthcare or behavioral health experience
  • Business development or sales success with measurable results
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background and drug screen (including THC/marijuana)

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of commercial insurance
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Healthcare, Business, Marketing, or related field)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory growth strategy focused on high-value referral relationships
  • Identify, pursue, and convert new referral sources (hospitals, clinicians, case managers, providers, community organizations)
  • Build long-term partnerships rooted in trust, responsiveness, and results
  • Research emerging markets and industry trends to stay ahead of competitors
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure strong brand presence and market positioning
  • Support Admissions with high-quality inbound referrals
  • Track pipeline activity and performance metrics in Salesforce
  • Evaluate and exceed monthly and quarterly growth targets
