Prophetic Technologies Inc

About The Position

Prophetic Software is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive top-of-funnel growth in the multifamily and brokerage verticals. The BDR will be responsible for finding and engaging prospects such as multifamily developers, owners, operators, and real estate brokerages, and converting outbound activity into qualified pipeline for the Account Executive team. This role involves real research, targeted outreach, and meaningful conversations with decision-makers about how Prophetic's AI-native platform can revolutionize land sourcing and evaluation. The BDR will also assist with early-stage partnership development by identifying and warming up potential channel partners. This position reports to the BDR Manager and involves collaboration with another BDR, Account Executives, and leadership. There is a clear path for career advancement to a full-cycle AE role or other positions within sales and client services.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or outbound sales role at a B2B SaaS company.
  • A track record of generating pipeline through self-directed outbound activities (LinkedIn, cold email, and phone), not solely inbound follow-up.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, specific outreach that does not sound templated.
  • Comfort with CRM hygiene, including logging activity, updating sequences, and managing contacts effectively.
  • Fluency with AI tools for prospect research, outreach drafting, and call preparation.
  • Genuine curiosity about the customer's world, with a desire to understand how multifamily developers and brokerages operate.
  • Resilience and consistency in daily work, with the ability to learn from setbacks and maintain motivation to hit targets.
  • A team-first mindset, characterized by open sharing of learnings and a commitment to improving the performance of the entire BDR team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or strong interest in multifamily, real estate brokerage, proptech, or land development.
  • Familiarity with sales engagement platforms such as HubSpot, Apollo, Outreach, or Salesloft.
  • Conference or event experience, including working a booth, scheduling on-site meetings, or following up on event leads.
  • Experience supporting or transitioning into a partnership or channel role.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify high-fit prospects across multifamily developers, owners and operators, and residential and land brokerages using LinkedIn, industry databases, conference attendee lists, and publicly available data.
  • Run targeted outbound sequences across email, LinkedIn, and phone, personalizing outreach based on company profile, portfolio, geography, and known pain points, avoiding generic templates.
  • Book qualified discovery calls and demos for Account Executives, with a focus on pipeline generated and meetings held rather than just meetings booked.
  • Maintain clean and accurate records in the CRM, logging every touchpoint, updating contact information, and ensuring sequences are active to prevent prospects from going cold.
  • Stay active on LinkedIn by connecting with decision-makers, commenting on relevant content, and building a presence in the multifamily and brokerage communities.
  • Identify potential channel partners (e.g., land consultants, proptech platforms, industry associations) and conduct initial outreach to warm up these relationships.
  • Support partnership pipeline tracking in the CRM, keeping partner contacts organized and conversations documented.
  • Assist with conference and event preparation, including researching attendee lists, scheduling meetings in advance, and supporting post-event follow-up outreach.
  • Collaborate closely with the BDR Manager, fellow BDR, and AEs on account targeting, messaging, and territory coverage, sharing feedback on outreach effectiveness.
  • Participate in weekly pipeline reviews and contribute to forecast accuracy by keeping qualified meeting pipelines current.
  • Work with Marketing on campaign follow-up, converting inbound leads and event contacts into active outreach sequences.
