The Business Development Representative is responsible for developing and managing territory accounts through healthcare provider offices while effectively managing resources and expenses. Requirements

  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and consultative selling skills.

  • Ability to understand and communicate complex medical and pharmaceutical concepts.
  • Proficiency with iPads, computers, mobile technology, and CRM platforms.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to balance multiple responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated integrity and commitment to high ethical and professional standards.
  • Ability to travel approximately 5% for corporate meetings, training programs, and field ride-alongs.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of healthcare, DME, B2B, or pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the territory as a business profit center.
  • Create and execute a territory business plan to achieve sales objectives, including account targeting, marketing initiatives, expense management, and time allocation.
  • Build and develop a minimum of 20 accounts that meet established "Galt 10" performance parameters.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, medical practices, and pharmacy partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales, to share insights and best practices.
  • Represent Galt Pharmaceuticals in alignment with the company's Vision and Guiding Principles.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the communities and healthcare landscape within the assigned territory.
  • Analyze sales, prescription, and market data to identify opportunities, trends, and growth strategies.
  • Effectively utilize CRM platforms and business analytics tools to track performance and customer engagement.
  • Take a relationship-based approach to territory management, focusing on patient and provider needs rather than competitive targeting.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Galt's mission of delivering "A Better Way" to provide pharmaceutical care, one patient at a time.
  • Adapt quickly to changes in the marketplace and business environment to drive continued account growth.
  • Make fiscally responsible decisions regarding territory expenses and resource allocation.
  • Partner with Accounting and Compliance teams when necessary to assist with account documentation and payment collection.
  • Execute territory call plans and routing strategies to maximize effectiveness across healthcare offices, pharmacies, physicians, and anchor pharmacy accounts.
  • Execute Galt's Account Management and Sales Processes.
  • Partner with customers to identify challenges and implement solutions that create value for their business and patients.
  • Differentiate Galt through exceptional concierge-level service and customer support.
  • Actively listen to internal and external stakeholders to uncover needs, barriers, and opportunities.
  • Leverage strong problem-solving skills and business knowledge to facilitate meaningful customer solutions.
  • Complete all required online, classroom, and field-training programs within the first two weeks of employment.
  • Successfully complete Sales and Clinical/Compliance Training requirements.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
