About The Position

Special Touch Home Care is seeking a bilingual business development professional with an outgoing personality, a talent for building relationships, and a passion for connecting people with the care they need. For 40 years, our licensed home care services agency (LHCSA) has proudly served more than 100,000 clients throughout New York City’s five boroughs and Westchester County. As our Business Development Representative, you will help expand our reach by promoting our services to potential clients, healthcare professionals, and community organizations. This role is primarily office-based, with outreach and attendance at local events and meetings on occasion. You will ensure office visitors receive welcoming, professional customer service while building relationships with businesses and referral sources to generate new client opportunities. You will represent Special Touch Home Care in the community and work closely with our intake team to connect prospective clients with our services.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher required.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of business development experience required, with a demonstrated track record of generating leads, building relationships, and driving business growth.
  • An outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent verbal communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • A self-motivated, results-oriented approach and a passion for making a positive impact.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare business dev experience preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the local office and ensure all visitors receive attentive, professional service.
  • Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies to generate leads and increase client referrals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities, local businesses, and other referral sources.
  • Participate in networking events, health fairs, and community presentations to raise awareness of our services.
  • Conduct outreach to potential clients and follow up on new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with our community intake team to facilitate the intake process for new clients.
  • Educate healthcare professionals and community members about our services and how to make referrals.
  • Track outreach activity, leads, and referrals to evaluate results and improve strategies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and community needs to identify opportunities for growth.
