About The Position

Nory is seeking to hire one of its first US Business Development Representatives (BDR) based in New York City. This role is on the ground floor of the company's US expansion, focusing on opening doors with restaurant groups, shaping the go-to-market strategy, and growing with the team as it scales. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building something new within the hospitality tech industry.

Requirements

  • Hospitality experience with a real interest in moving into sales and/or Early-career experience (around 1–2 years) in a target-driven, people-facing role – e.g. sales, recruitment, or similar.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality, restaurants, or the people who run them.
  • Resilience and drive – comfortable hearing "no", picking yourself up quickly, and owning your numbers.
  • Curiosity – asking good questions, researching properly, and not relying on stale templates.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to build rapport quickly, on the phone and in person.
  • Coachability and ambition.
  • A startup mindset – moving fast, taking initiative, and being comfortable with ambiguity in a team that's still being built.

Responsibilities

  • Generate high-quality pipeline through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and in-person outreach to US restaurant groups.
  • Research accounts, find decision-makers, and build a sharp understanding of what operators in the US market care about.
  • Set up qualified first conversations for Account Executives and help them hit revenue targets.
  • Test and iterate new messaging, channels, and sequences, and double down on what works.
  • Share feedback from prospects with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to sharpen the US go-to-market strategy.
  • Contribute learnings to shape how the BDR team grows, as one of the first US BDRs.
