Business Development Representative
About The Position
Alarm.com is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial technology company on a mission to revolutionize smart security and automation. Shooter Detection Systems pioneered the gunshot detection market, transforming proven military detection systems for commercial applications are collectively seeking a high-energy, self-motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our National Account Team. This is a critical front-line position focused on driving growth through inbound lead qualification and outbound prospecting. You'll play a key role in identifying potential customers, sparking interest, and setting the stage for the sales team to close deals.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of sales or lead generation experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable making cold calls and engaging decision-makers
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach)
- Self-starter with a positive, team-oriented attitude
Nice To Haves
- SaaS lead generation experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns, website inquiries, and referrals
- Generate outbound leads through email campaigns, social outreach, and cold calling
- Research and identify potential clients in key verticals
- Maintain and update CRM with detailed notes and lead status
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to refine outreach strategies
- Set appointments and demos for Account Executives
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly activity and meeting goals
- Other duties as assigned
