About The Position

The Business Development Representative is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities within the Industrial market across the Atlantic region in addition to supporting new or existing clients nationwide. This role requires strong relationship-building skills and knowledge of Customer Relationship Management systems with a background in sales or networking to include an understanding of industrial facilities planning and the A/E industry. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in business development, preferably within the A/E industry.
  • Proven track record of securing and managing client relationships and contracts.
  • Familiarity with design and construction processes.
  • Experience with CRM tools and proposal development platforms.
  • Experience developing contacts and maintaining client networks.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on the growth and expansion of the local and national industrial market.
  • Initiate contact with decision-makers such as C-Suite executives, facility directors and maintenance managers.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients, consultants, and general contractors to position the firm for future opportunities.
  • Identify upcoming projects, RFPs, and partnership opportunities through market research and networking.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences, trade shows and networking functions to expand the firm’s visibility.
  • Track and report on business development activities, project pipeline, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, design, engineering) to develop compelling proposals and presentations
  • All other duties as assigned.
