About The Position

Eight Sleep is seeking its first Business Development Representative (BDR) focused on the B2B market to help scale high-value accounts. This role is crucial for selling the Pod in bulk to professional sports organizations, medical institutions, executives, and other premium buyers where sleep, recovery, and performance are paramount. The BDR will own the top of the sales funnel, responsible for identifying accounts, mapping decision-makers, executing outbound strategies, and booking qualified meetings. While the Inside Sales and B2B Lead will close deals, the BDR will also be involved in post-sale account management, including installations, client communication, troubleshooting, and long-term relationship building. This is a unique BDR role that goes beyond just booking meetings, focusing on building strong relationships within high-performance communities and offering opportunities for growth into closing deals.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5+ years of B2B, business development, outbound sales, partnerships, or account management experience.
  • A proven outbound track record building pipeline from scratch through LinkedIn, email, phone, events, or referrals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the judgment to engage premium buyers across sports, medicine, executives, and performance.
  • Operational discipline to manage details, follow through, and keep many moving pieces organized.
  • Comfort owning post-sale work, including logistics, installs, troubleshooting, and client management.
  • A self-starter comfortable in a zero-to-one environment where speed, judgment, and execution matter.
  • Willingness to travel for installs and events, including evenings, weekends, and during sports playoff windows when demand spikes.

Responsibilities

  • Build the funnel by running outbound campaigns across LinkedIn, email, phone, referrals, and events to initiate conversations with high-value B2B accounts.
  • Map the strategy by identifying target teams, institutions, executives, contacts, and events.
  • Book qualified meetings by sourcing accounts, creating thoughtful outreach, and bringing qualified opportunities to the Inside Sales and B2B Lead.
  • Support the sales process by researching accounts, preparing context, tracking next steps, and helping to move deals forward.
  • Provide post-sale support, including coordinating installs, managing client communication, handling troubleshooting, and supporting long-term relationship management.
  • Become an expert on Eight Sleep’s product, sleep science, and B2B use cases to translate features into outcomes for premium buyers.
  • Iterate fast by helping to build the B2B playbook through testing messaging, segments, outreach, and account workflows.
