This role involves training, managing, and leading a team of Business Development Executives and Independent Sales Representatives within a designated geographic region to drive revenue growth. The position requires market analysis, strategic planning, and sales force integration to achieve company goals such as growth, profitability, and market share.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing and/or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years sales experience with a consumer/service products or retail organization.
  • Experience with Business to Business Sales.
  • Proven track record for results to be metrically driven.
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English/Spanish).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, competitive, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.
  • Experience with specific sales methodology and ability for execution of the programs.
  • Experience in managing against P&L goals, budgeting, forecasting, and managing results.
  • Proven track record and positive results of leadership capability to lead region organizational change.
  • Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level, customers, and staff.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 60% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and direct the region to achieve sales revenue and profit objectives.
  • Work closely with the Vice President of Sales Operations to achieve company objectives.
  • Oversee regional planning integrated with business strategies in partnership with the senior management team.
  • Cultivate and maintain a strong customer-focused approach.
  • Leverage existing and past relationships to identify new business opportunities.
  • Integrate competitor information and customer knowledge with customer priorities to develop business opportunities.
  • Establish and/or develop sales strategy and tactics for the assigned Region and communicate them effectively to the sales team.
  • Lead the sales team to meet or exceed sales goals, agent base, and existing agency productivity.
  • Drive market penetration.
  • Manage, lead, and improve Viamerica’s agent sales force and grow Viamerica’s agent relationships, agent sales, and maximize total gross profit margins and operating income for Viamericas agent business.
  • Oversee Viamerica’s agent sales force, revenue management, and agents’ P&L.
  • Grow the number of transactions, gross profit, and EBIT for agents assigned in the Region through sales, revenue, and relationship management.
  • Identify, sign, and deliver new agent relationships and business directly.
  • Grow Bill Payment, Check Cashing, and Top Up Calling Card transactions.
  • Monitor progress against key performance indicators for the region, ensure effective communication of progress, and implement strategies to address performance gaps.
  • Identify and execute new business opportunities within the sales region.
  • Manage employee development and performance in a metric-driven environment.
  • Develop skills to assist the Sales Team in discovering new business opportunities.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and motivate a strong sales team.
  • Establish contacts and relationships with potential agents.
  • Maintain and increase same-store sales.
  • Implement and enforce company decisions within the sales region.
  • Travel to different states in the region to work closely with the Sales Team and visit agents to strengthen relationships and increase same-store sales.
  • Ensure agents in the region receive the best possible service from Sales and Agent support staff.
  • Support collection activities in the region.
  • Work closely with other Departments to facilitate sales activities.
  • Sign new accounts as needed to hit region targets.
  • Monitor SRs & TM’s, signings performance on a weekly basis.
  • Involve in Sales presentations for high-volume prospects.
  • Identify region’s negative variances and develop action plans to recover business.
  • Sell Viamericas' value proposition.
  • Train and coach new hires (Sales Force).
  • Maintain and support top accounts in the region.
  • Ensure team members read, acknowledge, and comply with Viamericas’ Staff Information Security Policy.
  • Ensure team members attend periodic Information Security training.
  • Report any event that might be an Information Security Incident.
