Requirements

  • Minimum three years experience of business development experience including commercial and consumer deals
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or related field
  • Excellent prospecting and new business development skills and the ability to develop strategic partnerships
  • Ability to analyze loan requests to determine credibility and probability
  • Must have strong knowledge of surrounding communities and markets
  • Good understanding and ability to comply with all bank and commercial lending’s policies, procedures, industry trends, regulations, and laws
  • Strong loan portfolio management skills with hands on working knowledge and experience in loan structuring, credit analysis and commercial loan underwriting
  • Clear understanding of different types of financial statements and credit reports
  • Exceptional business development, sales, and customer retention skills are essential
  • Sound leadership and credit decision skills
  • Excellent quality customer service skills with a genuine interests in serving customers
  • Ambitious, analytical, self- motivated individual with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of team
  • Great presentation, interpersonal relationship building, managerial, organization, and leadership skills are essential
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to analyze work flow and set priorities to meet deadlines
  • Multi-task oriented with the ability to maintain a proactive approach to assignments
  • Ability to use sound judgment with strong decision making and reasoning abilities

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and develop new business opportunities through networking, research, and outreach
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, partners, stakeholders, etc.
  • Develops and implements new profitable business banking solutions to existing and prospective customers through calling efforts, marketing, and referrals
  • Acts as primary contact for business development and sales related customers
  • Administers business development and sales programs activities
  • Reviews documentation to properly close loans
  • Prepares loan documents, reports, and composes letters
  • Prepares and delivers presentations, proposals, and business pitches
  • Manages all aspects of relationships to ensure maximum credit quality and customer’s satisfaction
  • Handles problem loans efficiently
  • Keeps abreast of changing business and economic developments which impact the loan portfolio and its profitability
  • Ensures loans are renewed timely and delinquent loans are brought current
  • Achieves all established production and credit quality goals, objectives, and expectations including funded loan production goals
  • Ensures compliance with all bank policies, procedures, regulations, and laws
  • Maintains a high level of visibility in the community and represents the CTB brand at events, meetings, associations, and organizations
  • Delivers excellent quality customer service consistently and adheres to department response turn around standards
  • Participates in bank and community related activities
  • Demonstrates consistent professional appearance, image, ethics, integrity, and represents the CTB Brand
  • Leads initiatives, adds value, supports the Bank’s vision, core values, business principles, goals, and objectives
