About The Position

England Logistics is scaling one of the country's leading independent freight agent networks and is seeking a driven, relationship-first Business Development Manager/Recruiter to fuel that growth. This role involves being the first point of connection for experienced independent freight agents exploring their next business partner. It combines sales, recruiting, consulting, and advisory aspects, aiming to show entrepreneurial freight professionals how England Logistics can help them grow their business, boost profitability, and serve their customers better. The position is ideal for someone who thrives on sourcing, prospecting, building relationships, and closing deals within a fast-growing division that significantly impacts the bottom line.

Requirements

  • Background in B2B sales, business development, and/or recruiting.
  • Strong hunter mentality with consultative selling and relationship-building instincts.
  • Excellent phone presence and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort and confidence on LinkedIn and social media.
  • Ability to influence decision-makers and close deals.
  • Sharp organizational skills and CRM discipline.
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial with the drive to work independently.
  • Collaboration skills to succeed on a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Freight brokerage, transportation, logistics, or supply chain experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively source and recruit independent freight agents through outbound prospecting via LinkedIn, social media, industry networks, referrals, and more.
  • Make at least 50 quality prospecting calls a day, continuously refining the approach to boost engagement and conversion.
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand a prospect's business and goals.
  • Build genuine trust with freight industry entrepreneurs, present England Logistics' Agent Partnership Program, and guide prospects from initial contact to a signed agreement.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Track activity and conversion metrics in CRM.
  • Focus on deals that advance the business while meeting monthly recruiting and onboarding targets.
  • Partner with Agent Services and onboarding teams to ensure a smooth transition and strong start for new agents.
