About The Position

This role is responsible for implementing strategies to achieve organizational and TalentBridge goals. The Business Development Manager will implement, revise, and sustain policies, procedures, and programs. A key aspect of this role is generating profitable sales to meet new account and financial objectives, including gross margin. The position involves implementing effective sales strategies and executing new business through prospecting, networking, and major account management, including pricing and negotiating contracts. This role typically works on projects and initiatives that span 3-12 months.

Requirements

  • Two years of college education or experience equivalency, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Experience in sales or marketing, or related experiences.
  • High-functionality knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include calendaring and scheduling.
  • Performs work under some supervision.
  • Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers the more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter, including the labor market, staffing industry and workforce development environment.

Responsibilities

  • Calls on prospective customers to understand their talent acquisition strategy and needs.
  • Develops and sells customer solutions based on their staffing/recruiting needs.
  • Closes sales and expands relationships, resulting in increased revenue, gross margin, and placements.
  • Documents calls and results in CRM, adhering to established documentation guidelines.
  • Develops and maintains customer relationships with new and current customers and develops key strategic partnerships.
  • Discusses customer needs, problems, or complaints, and arranges for meetings between customers or prospective customers and representatives of various company functional areas.
  • Analyzes customer and industry/market trends and competitor activity and adjusts sales strategies accordingly.
  • Drives the RFP process with timely quoting and the delivery of effective presentations, including coordination of the proposed service/work plan and closing the sale.
  • Enters and updates customer and prospective customer data in appropriate tracking systems, and prepares reports as required.
  • Project and Change Management: Effectively plans and manages own work to reliably complete routine job responsibilities and special assignments. May serve as a team member or subject matter expert on formal projects or within the department. Effectively engages in change affecting her/him, communicating appropriately with supervisor. Follows through on learning, skill building, and practice necessary to adapt to change.
  • Problem Solving: Light supervision; works independently. Periodic review of work by manager or senior coworker. Solves problems of moderate to advanced complexity; able to identify root cause, interpret data and resolve issues.
  • Technical Skill: Understands and applies professional principles and skills within area of specialization to modify processes to resolve situations.
  • Community Engagement: Champions Goodwill’s community engagement initiatives and serves as an ambassador for Goodwill in the wider community.
  • Responsible for completing other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
