About The Position

A growing manufacturer serving the automotive, filtration, industrial, and specialty materials markets is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive profitable growth and expand customer relationships. This role blends new business development with strategic account management, working closely with customers and internal teams to identify opportunities, support product development initiatives, and deliver exceptional service.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Business Development, Sales, Account Management, or Product Development experience.
  • Experience working with customers in manufacturing environments, ideally within automotive, filtration, nonwovens, industrial materials, or related industries.
  • Proven ability to open doors, develop relationships, and generate new business opportunities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% for customer visits, trade shows, and industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow relationships with existing and prospective customers across multiple markets.
  • Generate new business opportunities through networking, industry associations, trade shows, referrals, and strategic outreach.
  • Manage key customer accounts while identifying opportunities for expansion and growth.
  • Partner with Sales, Quality, Production, Planning, and Logistics teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution.
  • Lead customer samples, product trials, and onboarding activities.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend solutions aligned with manufacturing capabilities and business objectives.
  • Track market trends, industry developments, and emerging opportunities.
  • Support sales planning, lead generation, RFQ activity, and long-term revenue growth initiatives.
  • Participate in customer meetings, presentations, plant visits, and industry events nationwide.

Benefits

  • Base salary up to $120,000 plus bonuses
