About The Position

Doherty Staffing Solutions is seeking a Business Development Manager for their Owatonna, MN office. This role is responsible for increasing revenue within an assigned territory and establishing new client partnerships by coordinating sales, contracts, support teams, and internal resources. The position offers a base salary plus uncapped commission, performance bonuses, and mileage reimbursement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2 years of professional work experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience or ability to learn a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
  • Ability to utilize technology tools and automation in the sales process.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's License and proof of car insurance.
  • Must be available to clients outside of regular business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Compile lists of prospective customers for sales leads using CRM, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, and other sources.
  • Prospect for new business through cold calling, telephone, internet, social media, and in-person/virtual sales meetings.
  • Participate in local professional, business, and civic organizations to enhance personal development and promote company recognition.
  • Facilitate weekly meetings with users, order placers, influencers, or decision-makers.
  • Develop organizational charts and relationships within client companies to identify and capture additional business opportunities.
  • Participate in monthly territory reviews and quarterly business goal reviews with forecasts.
  • Conduct safety job site assessments and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Retain and grow existing accounts within the assigned portfolio.
  • Assist with service-related issues and quarterly reviews for large customers.
  • Assist in ensuring timely collection of receivables.
  • Achieve annual sales quotas.
