You’ll collaborate with operations, preconstruction, estimating, and marketing teams to position AWC for success with clients and partners. This role blends relationship management, market intelligence, pursuit coordination, and strategic planning to help drive the company’s continued growth.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and develop new opportunities
  • Understanding of business development principles and growth strategies
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of the Jacksonville business and construction market
  • Four-year college degree in business, marketing, construction management, or a related field
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the commercial construction or related industry field required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building relationships with clients, design partners, and industry stakeholders
  • Familiarity with the Northeast Florida commercial construction market is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and community partners
  • Identify and research potential projects, market sectors, and client opportunities aligned with AWC’s strategic goals
  • Coordinate the preparation of proposals, qualifications packages, and interview materials
  • Collaborate with Operations, Preconstruction, Estimating, and Marketing teams to support pursuit strategies
  • Track and organize business development activities, market insights, and competitive intelligence
  • Represent AWC at industry events, networking opportunities, and community engagements
  • Support internal business development initiatives including presentations, planning sessions, and pursuit strategies
  • Monitor industry trends and market activity to help inform strategic planning
