About The Position

The Nomex® Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for developing new business opportunities across Mexico, Central America, and the Andean Region, including Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Chile. The primary focus is driving growth with OEMs and key end users within the Transformer, Electric Vehicle, Industrial Motor, and Generator markets. This role will help expand Arclin's presence across Latin America by identifying new opportunities, building customer relationships, and re-engaging markets that have received limited commercial focus in recent years. Energy Solutions is one of Arclin's fastest-growing businesses, supported by continued growth in electrical infrastructure, data centers, and electrification initiatives. The BDM will report to the Latin America Sales Manager and partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Technical Service teams throughout Mexico and the United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Marketing, or relevant industrial markets.
  • Strong prospecting and business development ("hunter") mentality.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage opportunity pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across global, cross-functional teams.
  • Approximately 50% travel throughout Latin America, including international travel.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Fluent Spanish required.
  • Strong business English required.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience working with OEMs, utilities, EPC firms, electrical infrastructure customers, or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of transformers, power distribution systems, substations, data centers, renewable energy, or EV infrastructure.
  • Ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
  • Experience working across multiple countries and cultures within Latin America.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
  • Drive new business development activities with OEMs and key end users.
  • Develop growth strategies across Mexico, Central America, and the Andean region.
  • Expand customer relationships and identify new commercial opportunities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional customer-facing activities involving Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Technical Service.
  • Represent Nomex® at customer meetings, trade associations, and industry events.
  • Share competitive, customer, and market intelligence with internal stakeholders.
  • Spend approximately 80% of time focused on new business development and 20% supporting growth within existing accounts.
  • Manage opportunities through Salesforce CRM and other commercial tools.
  • Support growth across: 60% Transformers and Electrical Infrastructure, 20% Electric Vehicles, 20% Industrial Motors and Generators.
