About The Position

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with strategically important customers of all types throughout San Diego County. This role requires a strong understanding of the industry and the ability to communicate effectively with customers. The manager will develop and manage a detailed sales and support plan in Salesforce for the portfolio of accounts, including strategic and tactical sales planning, and achieve sales account and plan objectives. They will establish strong, long-term client relationships, travel daily within the defined geography to visit customers and potential customers, and provide solutions and innovative ideas to meet client needs. The role involves determining customer needs, providing accurate reports on daily activities, preparing price quotations, and maintaining detailed files on customer interactions. Travel to trade shows, participation in required training, and keeping the company informed on competitive products and market trends are also key aspects of this position. Regular communication with internal departments regarding customer activities is essential.
