About The Position

Arterra Wines Canada is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to focus on Corporate Fine Wine sales in Toronto. This role is responsible for managing and expanding an existing portfolio of corporate clients while actively developing new business opportunities across the GTA. The successful candidate will focus on building relationships with law firms, real estate brokerages, wealth management firms, blue-chip organizations, senior executives, and other corporate buyers who purchase fine wine for client gifting, events, and executive collections. This is a consultative, relationship-focused sales role requiring a polished professional who is confident engaging senior decision-makers and presenting premium products. The ideal candidate combines strong prospecting skills with a passion for fine wine, a proven ability to close new business, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, corporate sales, or luxury product sales
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Results oriented, self-motivated, driven and disciplined
  • Proof of valid Driver’s License will be required
  • Must be able to lift wine cases weighing up to 45 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • University Degree or Business degree with sales expertise
  • WSET 3 (or equivalent Sommelier designation)

Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and secure new corporate clients across Toronto, including law firms, real estate brokerages, wealth management firms, private equity and financial services companies, blue-chip corporations, senior executives and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Proactively call on and maintain relationships with an established list of corporate clients.
  • Conduct regular outreach (phone, email, in-person meetings) to identify repeat purchase opportunities.
  • Develop trusted-advisor relationships with key decision-makers and executive level buyers.
  • Position the company as the preferred fine wine partner for corporate purchasing needs.
  • Monitor corporate buying trends, gifting cycles, and industry developments.
  • Identify strategic opportunities within Toronto’s corporate sector.
  • Provide feedback to leadership regarding product demand, pricing strategy, and competitive positioning.
  • Coordinate with internal Principal Fine Wine Teams for inventory, forecasting for seasonal offers, and event planning.
