About The Position

Hubbell is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Renewable Energy market. This role involves building strategic partnerships with Project Owners, contractors, integrators, and EPC firms, influencing product specifications, identifying new market opportunities, and providing technical expertise to the field sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the renewable or electrical markets, excellent business acumen, and a passion for relationship building. Extensive travel is expected, and the position is open to candidates residing in any North Central US location.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Power BI.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Communications (preferred).
  • Experience in electrical or renewable markets (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Establish and strengthen partnerships with top tier owners, engineering firms and EPC’s in the North Central region.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and other teams to align strategies and improve sales processes.
  • Develop and manage sales budgets, forecast sales projections, and manage expenses to optimize profitability.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities or potential threats.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Renewable market trends and technologies.
  • Support field sales with technical expertise, product training, and educational demonstrations.
  • Track key projects from inception to completion using Salesforce and Power BI.
  • Stay current with industry standards and communicate updates to the sales team.
  • Represent Hubbell at major trade shows and conferences (Intersolar, Cleanpower, RE+, and regionals).
  • Work with owner/developers and engineering firms to secure Hubbell product specifications in new designs and projects.
  • Plan and execute strategic contractor events, regional meetings, and industry trade shows.
