About The Position

Ensure profitable Bamberger Amco Polymers growth through account development and opportunity pipeline development in support of our key line card partners and in support of the BA Polymers commercial sales team. The role relies on the broad knowledge and expertise of the business development leader in the multiple market segments for engineering thermoplastics, OEM processes and protocols as well as a deep knowledge of the overall plastic resin supply chain. The BDM will bring together these key skills and knowledge to serve in a leadership and field role for North America. This Business Development position offers the ideal candidate the opportunity to serve in a multi-faceted leadership role based on the status of the customer account within the BAP framework. The BDM will use various techniques to assess and open new doors at OEM and supplier accounts in terms of introducing the BA Polymers product line, business philosophy and services coupled with overall account assessment and development to the active commercial stage. This is a discovery and relationship building endeavor with the objective of expanding BAP’s customer base and breadth of opportunities. A key metric for the BDM will be new business opportunities added/created (the Pipeline) and closed plus new account activation. Additionally, the BDM role will serve in partnership format with our local and regional sales team members and the Senior Leader of Business Development in North America to create an attractive support model to further develop business opportunities at existing customers. There is a degree of shared ownership that relies heavily upon frequent involvement of the BDM to support the growth and expansion objectives of the sales team. Lastly, there is a consultative element to the BDM role in which the BDM provides guidance and support as requested by the sales organization at currently active accounts but relies on the leadership of the sales organization to direct all efforts. The modes of support cover a wide range of activities including OEM specification guidance, material selection, application expertise and basic market insights to name a few.
