About The Position

GoodVision's mission is to create a world where people commute more safely, efficiently, and sustainably. We are transforming the way transportation agencies and consultants collect and use traffic data by delivering AI-powered video analytics that improve planning, operations, and decision-making. As we continue expanding across North America, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to accelerate our growth. This is a true hunter role focused on identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities across Departments of Transportation (DOTs), Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), municipalities, transportation consultants, and intelligent transportation systems (ITS) partners. The ideal candidate combines transportation industry expertise with a consultative sales approach, thrives on building relationships from the ground up, and is energized by creating new opportunities in a rapidly growing technology company.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of successful business development or sales experience within transportation technology, ITS, traffic engineering, or related infrastructure markets.
  • Demonstrated success in a hunter role with a proven ability to create opportunities rather than rely on inbound demand.
  • Experience selling to public-sector transportation agencies, engineering consultants, or transportation technology providers.
  • Strong understanding of Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) principles and how technology supports safer and more efficient roadway operations.
  • Experience managing complex, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable discussing technical solutions while translating complex capabilities into clear customer value.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and capable of working independently in a high-growth environment.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory (approximately 30–50%).
  • Experience selling traffic analytics, transportation software, ITS solutions, video analytics, AI, computer vision, or smart city technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Existing relationships within state DOTs, MPOs, local agencies, consultants, or ITS ecosystems are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with FHWA initiatives, TSMO programs, Vision Zero, roadway safety, or transportation planning.
  • Experience working with engineering firms such as Kimley-Horn, WSP, HNTB, AECOM, HDR, Jacobs, or similar organizations.
  • Established network within state and local transportation agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory growth strategy focused on generating new business across the United States.
  • Identify, qualify, and close opportunities with DOTs, cities, counties, MPOs, engineering consultants, and systems integrators.
  • Build trusted relationships with transportation decision-makers and become a recognized advisor on AI-driven traffic analytics.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, from prospecting through contract negotiation and close.
  • Collaborate with channel partners to expand market reach and create joint business opportunities.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and communicate the value of GoodVision's platform to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Work closely with Solutions Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure customer success.
  • Represent GoodVision at industry conferences, ITS events, and customer meetings.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and consistently exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue targets.

Benefits

  • Joining GoodVision means helping shape the future of transportation. You'll work with innovative AI technology that enables agencies to make smarter infrastructure decisions using existing camera networks, reducing costs while improving safety, mobility, and operational efficiency.
