About The Position

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Sales Team! The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in the growth and profitability of Earth’s Own. For the assigned customers, this individual will lead the development and execution of Earth’s Own annual sales plan, is accountable to achieve sales plan targets, and build strong customer relationships. This is a very exciting time for the Sales Team as we continue to grow and expand! You will have the opportunity to represent an incredible brand that is driving huge growth in the marketplace, with direct accountability for a National Retail Customer, one of our largest portfolios! This includes building strong customer relationships and influencing retailer strategies and tactics in an evolving and exciting category! Your top priority will be to deliver your annual sales plan. This includes ensuring distribution across our product base, strong promotional plans, and flawless execution on new products. An analytical approach and bias for action will be critical to achieving your objectives and leaving your imprint on the business!

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a CPG sales role, ideally in food/beverage category.
  • 3+ years in a key account role in the food/beverage category.
  • Experience working directly with Canada’s Largest Grocers.
  • Experience in Natural/Organic categories.
  • A relevant Undergraduate Degree in Marketing or Business.
  • Solid business development and sales background.
  • Consistently drive growth and achieve sales plan targets.
  • Analytical nature, and strong familiarity with syndicated data and strategic data capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship building, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong bias for action with the ability to execute and achieve results.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and deliverables.
  • Ability to influence while working collaboratively both externally and internally.
  • Exceptional communicator, who can build meaningful relationships and inspire action.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to travel (5-10% of time).
  • Ability to communicate in French would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of Earth’s Own annual sales plan for assigned customers.
