About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead regional growth across the Niagara area for a well-established organization in the Construction and HVAC industry. This role is based in St. Catharines, Ontario and focuses on building, expanding, and strengthening a high-performing HVAC dealer network. This is a high-impact, externally facing role for a commercially driven professional who thrives in a competitive, fast-paced environment. You’ll act as a trusted partner to dealers, a strategic driver of growth initiatives, and a brand ambassador in the market.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of business development or sales experience within the Construction and/or HVAC industry
  • Proven success managing dealer territories or regional accounts
  • Post-secondary education in Business or a related field
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple internal teams and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with major HVAC equipment brands is a strong asset
  • Willingness to travel extensively (~90% within territory)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop HVAC dealer partners throughout the Niagara region
  • Own and exceed sales revenue and gross profit targets
  • Design and execute territory-specific growth strategies aligned with regional market needs
  • Serve as a key external representative, building long-term relationships grounded in trust and value
  • Deliver expert product knowledge, training, and proactive solutions to dealer partners
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal sales, operations, and support teams to drive customer success
  • Maintain accurate reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management
