About The Position

The Business Development Manager - Electric Boiler Systems is the sales and business development manager for all US and Canada Electric Steam and Hydronics Boiler Systems sales and marketing efforts. Though this role is tied to Vapor Precision, the product focus with be associated with its electric steam and hydronic heating systems, namely the key products associated with Precision Boilers. This particular role will also support a few key accounts associated with Data Centers and work closely alongside the BDM - Liquid Load Banks. The Business Development Manager - Electric Boiler Systems, has broad responsibility to drive the company growth strategies and manage the day-to-day activities of the organizations key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. The bulk of Vapor Precision's sales efforts are managed via a global network of independent manufacturers sales representatives who are guided by a Channel Partner Manager. The Channel Partner Manager reports to the Senior Manager, Business Development. This role would also report to the Sr. Manager, Business Development but will be focused on sales targets associated with all Vapor Precision business line. Work travel is anticipated to be approximately 40% to accomplish the primary job responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Relevant bachelor's degree required with appropriate years of experience to support desired skills and accomplishments.
  • Experience in sales strategic planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
  • Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.
  • Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful industry relations efforts.
  • Experience in non-North American markets.
  • Strong experience in the sales and marketing of highly engineered/manufacture-to-order capital equipment.
  • Strong experience in the development, management, and growth of independent manufacturer's representative networks.
  • Experience and significant accomplishments as a senior sales and marketing executive in a technical environment.
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Significant accomplishments in the categories of sales growth, market expansion and new product introductions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of sales growth/go-to-market strategies for electric steam and hydronic boilers, including key accounts associated with the Poseidon and Pontus product lines.
  • Direct the plans to drive improved performance throughout the sales organization.
  • Work with Thermon and VPI Application Engineering team, along with their reps, or new distribution channels to achieve continually higher levels of performance and provide the resources and guidance to consistently improve the position of the product line within the organization.
  • Direct and coordinate company sales and marketing functions.
  • Develop and coordinate the sales pipeline to support growth targets.
  • Manage the bookings forecasting methodology.
  • Direct and oversee the company marketing function to implement new initiatives and programs to drive increased sales.
  • Research and develop strategies and plans which identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development.
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results.
  • Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets.
  • Directly manage major and critical developing client accounts and coordinate the management of all other accounts.
  • Participate and oversee development of product quotations and large projects to support the sales organization.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Supervise the planning and development of company marketing and communications materials.
  • Represent the company at various industry and/or business meetings to promote the company.
  • Supervise the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion programs for trade shows.
  • Promote positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors.
  • Recommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance operations.
  • Work with department managers and the leadership team staff to develop long range plans and strategies.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Complete ownership of the role, impact on the business, and ability to effectively communicate to internal and external customers.
  • This role with have dotted line reports to the AE Team's Electric Boiler team members.
