About The Position

At Orchard is seeking high-performing Business Development Managers to join a new team being built by one of our key clients, tasked with leading growth initiatives across the Department of War and the Armed Forces. Veterans with a strong track record of transition into defense tech or IT sales are strongly encouraged to apply.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Enterprise IT, IaaS, edge computing, secure communications, and cloud architecture in defense/classified environments.
  • Consistent history of achieving or exceeding sales/growth targets within defense IT programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Translate complex IaaS capabilities, edge computing, and hybrid/secure infrastructure into clear, mission-aligned value propositions for program managers, PEOs, and warfighters.
  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain key relationships across defense agencies, prime contractors, system integrators, and DOD decision-makers.
  • Lead market-facing capture activities, contribute to RFP/RFI responses, and collaborate with solution architects and delivery teams to craft winning technical and commercial proposals.
  • Represent SEMPRE at key defense industry events, symposia, and customer engagements to position the firm as a trusted partner in resilient defense IT infrastructure.
