We're looking for a talented and experienced business development leader to join our Atlanta office. This individual will work closely with firm principals and practice leaders to strengthen TVS's national presence and competitive position across key markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, architecture, management, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, marketing, venue management, or related role within architecture, design, or professional services
  • Strong understanding of the commercial architecture and design industry
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and pipeline management tools (HubSpot, Deltek, or similar)
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong self-motivation and sound judgment
  • Highly organized and collaborative with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of venue management, preferred
  • CVE certification, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work in the firm through day-to-day roles and responsibilities and on the firm through the TVS team ecosystem framework
  • Actively participate in and/or lead at least one TVS ecosystem team
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities aligned with firm priorities and long-term market strategy
  • Assist in developing and driving win strategies for active pursuits
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and industry collaborators
  • Lead client follow-up efforts and provide recommendations on pursuit decisions
  • Proactively identify new channels and pipelines across target sectors
  • Track proposal performance and gather feedback to continuously improve outcomes
  • Develop and maintain database of building venue information
  • Represent TVS at industry events, conferences, and professional organizations
  • Support practice staff before, during, and after events to maximize impact
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in internal and external events and sponsorships
  • Coordinate involvement in industry associations and conference attendance
  • Participate in firm-wide strategic planning under executive leadership direction
  • Contribute to leadership pipeline discussions and pursuit prioritization
  • Collaborate with principals and project leaders to align BD efforts with firm strategy
  • Engage project leadership to expand client and consultant networks
  • Partner with the Senior Vice President | Brand + Growth to meet or exceed the firm’s annual new wins target
  • Maintain a well-organized pipeline of active and upcoming pursuits
  • Manage business development activities within an annual budget
  • Maintain and expand CRM systems (HubSpot, Deltek, or similar), ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, win/loss outcomes, and market trends
  • Develop compelling written content independently and collaboratively with leadership
  • Complete administrative and business tasks in a timely manner, including but not limited to timesheets, expense reports, employee feedback and coaching, and annual performance reviews
