About The Position

Caliza is hiring a Business Development Lead to open the Argentine market, secure its first anchor customers, and expand into the Southern Cone. The role owns the regional revenue target and shapes Caliza’s growth in markets where USD access and fast payouts are important. Argentina is the core market, with Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay as expansion markets, and key corridors connecting the Southern Cone with the United States, China, and Brazil. The position reports to the Director of Business Development, works closely with the CEO, and partners with Compliance, Product, Legal, and Operations to bring customers live quickly and safely. The role builds a sales pipeline from scratch, develops market insight to inform product and partnership priorities, and manages sales from discovery through pricing, contracting, onboarding, and first live transactions. Caliza provides cross-border banking infrastructure, including USD accounts, collections and payments in more than 33 currencies, fiat and stablecoin conversion, and transfers via local payment rails, SWIFT, or stablecoins. Its developing treasury capabilities include programmable accounts, approval policies, automated reconciliation, and working capital.

  • Data-driven approach, strong negotiation and presentation skills, and excellent follow-through.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, resource-constrained startup and adapting to local business cultures.
  • Professional working fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Based in, or within two hours of, Buenos Aires, with the ability to overlap a few hours a day with US Eastern and Brazil time zones.
  • Must be authorized to work in the country of residence; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Southern Cone territory, with Argentina as the core market and Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay as expansion markets.

  • Run full sales cycles from discovery through pricing, contracting, onboarding, and first live transactions.
