About The Position

CX2 is a next-generation defense technology company founded to deliver spectrum dominance for the United States and our allies. CX2’s AI-enabled hardware and software platforms detect, disrupt and defend the electromagnetic spectrum across land, air, sea and space domains. CX2’s Business Development (BD) team is responsible for identifying, shaping, capturing, and growing new opportunities and capabilities for the company. BD team members serve as the bridge between clients and the broader CX2 team; they convey partner perspectives to cross-functional teams across the organization. They partner extensively with the broader team, to include engineering and program management, to ensure that CX2 products exceed client expectations and mission demands, and to drive continuous product improvements in response to emerging needs and requirements. We are looking for a high initiative individual to build and expand growth initiatives across the United States Marine Corps (USMC) that serves all CX2 EW Platforms and Payloads. This individual will have ownership and responsibility for shaping and capturing business across the entire USMC enterprise.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with the USMC, with emphasis on current operational needs and relationships across key program offices and end users.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills to internal and external audiences. You can take complex and technical ideas and explain them to a broad audience.
  • Ability to gain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Bias towards action. Possess the ability to thrive in a startup environment, know when to operate in ambiguity and when to build processes to help scale the business.
  • Travel up to 50%
  • To conform to U.S. Government technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), applicant must be a US Citizen, Green Card holder, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and capture all USMC opportunities. This will involve significant travel, trade show coordination, sourcing local agent agreements, and possession of a deep understanding and responsibility for representing country specific budget cycles.
  • The BD team is ultimately responsible for growing revenue. Your expertise will inform capture strategies, revenue forecasts, and aid in technology development plans. Tactically, you will manage continuous engagements with current and future clients, generate growth strategies, monitor buying cycles for opportunities, and lead specific proposal and capture efforts.
  • Develop capture strategies. Provide cohesive business plans and execution models that outline acquisition plans, create clear alignment to investment strategies, and drive towards program of record execution. Success will be achieved by engaging key stakeholders to shape requirements, identifying and securing relevant funding, and developing compelling win themes and supplier strategies for competitive captures.
  • Grow existing business. While the primary role will be shaping and capturing new business, a successful candidate will represent the entire CX2 team. You will partner with Mission Operations to grow business with current clients. This does not simply include expanding upon current work, but also leveraging existing partnerships to explore new areas of work or opportunities by sustaining and building upon the strong foundation of those client relationships.
