About The Position

National Interstate, a member of Great American Insurance Group, is a leading commercial transportation insurer offering risk financing solutions nationwide. We are seeking a Business Development Intern for Summer 2027 to join our team in Richfield, Ohio. This internship provides students with hands-on experience applying academic knowledge to the insurance industry, exploring various departments, engaging in professional development, and networking through social activities. Interns are valued for their unique perspectives and contributions.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
• Anticipated graduation date ranging from Fall/Winter 2027 to Spring 2028.
• Prior experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Salesforce experience a plus.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Complete Salesforce data entry to support Business Development Representatives
• New and renewal business submission intake
• Work on prospecting activities
• Marketing analytics project work
• Assist in locating new producers for several products
