About The Position

The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving sales revenue and business growth by developing new client relationships and maintaining existing customer accounts. This role serves as the primary point of contact between Legacy Group and its clients, coordinating with internal teams to deliver timely, effective solutions that meet client needs and support organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have five (5) plus years of progressive sales experience.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and Microsoft Office or similar business applications.
  • Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting, cold calling, and generating qualified sales opportunities.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to staff, customers, and executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Capacity to utilize critical thinking skills to quickly interpret customer needs and effectively communicate appropriate solutions.
  • Strong presentation skills that influence decision-making and strengthen client relationships.
  • Ability to confidently initiate conversations with prospective clients and build rapport with key decision-makers.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to balance prospecting, client meetings, travel, and administrative tasks.
  • Team player.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, build relationships, while promoting Legacy Group services.
  • Conduct proactive outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling to generate new business opportunities and expand the sales pipeline.
  • Qualify prospective clients by assessing business needs, challenges, and opportunities to determine alignment with Legacy Group's services.
  • Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and revenue objectives through strategic account management and business development.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships across all retail market verticals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business opportunities, challenges, and goals.
  • Plan and organize daily work schedules, client meetings, and travel as needed.
  • Track and document all prospecting activities, client interactions, and follow-up actions within Salesforce.
  • Follow up on marketing campaigns, and inbound inquiries to convert leads into qualified sales opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to prospective clients, effectively showcasing Legacy Group’s services.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through upselling, cross selling and value-added solutions.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and pipeline updates to executive management on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as operations, to deliver customized solutions that meet client needs.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to close deals while maximizing profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Investigate and resolve client complaints by analyzing issues, recommending solutions, and communicating with management.
  • Embrace and share organizational initiatives, company culture, and values.
