About The Position

We’re seeking a Business Development Executive to join our team in Toronto. The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving business growth through strategic relationship building, proactive prospecting, and opportunity development within the commercial real estate industry. This role focuses on cultivating strong broker and industry relationships, generating qualified tenant leads, and supporting the successful transition of opportunities to the Client Relations team.

Requirements

  • 5-6 years of experience in outbound sales or business development.
  • Strong broker and industry relationships
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proven ability to prospect, generate leads, and manage pipelines
  • Consistent lead generation and pipeline growth
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in commercial real estate, construction, design, or a related space will be an asset.
  • Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular meetings with real estate brokers to develop and strengthen professional relationships
  • Maintain ongoing communication with brokers and industry contacts to ensure top-of-mind presence
  • Build strategic partnerships that generate new tenant opportunities and market intelligence
  • Secure introductions to tenants currently active in the market
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of broker-driven opportunities
  • Execute outbound business development activities including calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and networking initiatives
  • Generate interest and schedule meetings with prospective tenants and partners
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities aligned with company objectives
  • Maintain accurate tracking of outreach activities and engagement within HubSpot
  • Consistently contribute to pipeline growth through proactive prospecting efforts
  • Follow up with active prospects to advance opportunities through the sales process
  • Identify qualified opportunities ready for transition to the Client Relations team
  • Coordinate internally to ensure seamless handover and onboarding of opportunities
  • Track, monitor, and report conversion progress and handover metrics using internal systems such as Metronome
  • Contribute toward achieving monthly handover and business development targets
