About The Position

Invictus, a Red River Company, is hiring a Business Development Executive to lead growth across the entire U.S. Space Force enterprise. This high-visibility, growth-accountable executive role reports directly to the President and Chief Growth Officer. Performance is measured by qualified pipeline, submitted value, and contract awards, with the Space Force growth plan reviewed regularly by Red River corporate leadership and private equity ownership. The role owns a multi-year strategy to position Invictus and Red River as a recognized Space Force mission partner. The successful candidate will translate customer priorities, budgets, and acquisition timelines into winnable opportunities for capabilities spanning mission IT, cybersecurity, cloud, networking, data, and managed services. The Space Force is reorganizing acquisition around mission-area Portfolio Acquisition Executives while expanding priorities in missile warning and tracking, space domain awareness, resilient satellite communications, ground systems, and Golden Dome. The candidate must currently live in Colorado Springs, Denver/Aurora, or the Los Angeles metro area and be able to meet regularly in person with customers at local installations. Relocation will not be considered. Travel to other Space Force locations and the Pentagon is required, with travel of up to 30% specified in the minimum qualifications. The position requires an active TS clearance at application; TS/SCI is preferred, while the posting also lists an active TS/SCI with in-scope CI polygraph in its opening details.

  • Working knowledge of Space Force missions, field command structure, the portfolio acquisition executive model, budget processes, and contract vehicles used to buy IT, cyber, ground systems, and mission support services.
  • Demonstrated success building and executing multi-year account plans and growing a pipeline year over year against aggressive targets.
