About The Position

DDS Wireless International is looking for a Business Development Executive to join our expanding sales team specifically focused on the Scheduled Routes Product. The ideal candidate will have a hunter mentality, a proven track record of generating new business, and experience in the SaaS and transportation industries. You will be responsible for finding, identifying, qualifying, and managing opportunities through the entire sales cycle, demonstrating the Product and negotiating beneficial business contracts, and securing multi-year contracts to establish long-term relationships with new clients. This position reports to the Global Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The successful candidate will be based in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of quota-carrying experience selling SaaS-based solutions
  • Strong history of quota attainment (proven negotiation and closing skills)
  • Sales hunter mentality with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Energetic, engaged, personality, positive attitude, creative, want to work for a rewarding and innovative company with leading products and 37-year history but operating in a start-up mentality.
  • Excel at connecting with clients through written, verbal and electronic communication
  • Willingness to understand and communicate the underlying technology to business prospects
  • Strong prospecting, qualification, and negotiations skills with a business solution-centric mindset
  • A roll-up your sleeves mentality with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Established network of contacts in transportation and logistics space
  • Existing knowledge of AI in routing and scheduling dispatch systems
  • Product awareness and insight of competitive environment globally
  • An undergraduate degree is preferred
  • Comfortable with sales cycles of between 2-6 months

Responsibilities

  • Consistently achieve sales quotas by developing a strong pipeline through proactive outbound activity (calls, emails), customer engagement (virtual and in-person meetings), and business development efforts (industry events and conferences), ensuring a high close ratio.
  • Understanding core markets, product use cases, terminology, industry trends, and customer pain points to effective position solutions and ultimately serve as a trusted advisor to clients.
  • Staying informed on the Routing & Scheduling market by gathering and sharing market intelligence, and by participating in key industry events to support DDS Wireless International’s positioning as an industry leader.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all sales activities in Salesforce; providing data that will allow DDS to refine our market focus and product roadmap
  • Developing strong, long-term client relationships by providing ongoing communication and support through the customer lifecycle, escalating critical issues when needed, and securing referrals, testimonials, and new business opportunities.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in pre-sales, marketing, and customer success to provide an amazing customer-first experience
  • Building your pipeline with customer lists to ensure a high opportunity to close ratio.
  • Delivering highly effective discovery sessions to understand the prospect's business needs, priorities, budget, timing, and key KPIs
  • Managing customer account plans, sales engagement strategies, inbound, outbound activities, lead generation activities, creative and professional customer engagement
