About The Position

The Business Development/ Events Assistant will help with tasks in support of the overall business development efforts in connection with marketing events logistics, pitches/RFPs, collateral updates, directory submissions and other department projects. As part of the firmwide Marketing & Business Development department, the individual will help ensure that mailing lists, experience records and other data projects are handled effectively and efficiently and assist with various department-wide tasks as assigned. This is a non-exempt position with a hybrid schedule, requiring you to be in the office three days a week or more if special events are taking place.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the planning and execution of all marketing events logistics
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events from planning through post-event follow-up
  • Support event logistics, including venue research, catering coordination, transportation arrangements, and event materials preparation
  • Manage attendee registration, RSVP tracking, guest communications, and event confirmations
  • Coordinate with vendors, venues, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and materials
  • Prepare event timelines, checklists, and project trackers to support successful event execution.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of event invitations, promotional materials, and attendee communications
  • Support on-site event operations, including registration, setup, vendor management, and attendee assistance
  • Writing or working on pitches/RFPs
  • Responsible for collateral updates
  • Help ensure that mailing lists, experience records and other data projects are handled effectively and efficiently
  • Develop audience segmentation and target strategies for email list building and optimization
  • Proficiency in email reporting, providing user training and support, supporting email policies and best practices
  • Directory submissions and other departmental projects
  • Assist with various department-wide tasks assigned
