About The Position

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Business Development Engineer (Junior/Entry Level) opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN. Home office location will be in Oak Ridge, TN. This position is full time in-office with occasional business travel. This position is an opportunity for professional development and growth in a DOE subcontractor office. The right candidate will be organized, flexible, able to manage confidential information, proactive, and possess a strong desire to learn and grow within Business Development. Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline required
  • 0 to 3 years of work experience
  • Experience utilizing AI models
  • Strong written and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships
  • Strong desire to be in a Sales Engineering or Business Development role
  • Strong work ethic – highly motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Relevant internships or co-ops highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support development of costs, schedules and technical proposals for firm fixed price construction projects in the Government Services Division.
  • Work closely with teams of subcontractors, engineers, and project management personnel to develop turnkey solutions for complex nuclear construction projects.
  • Work with an energetic and diverse team to grow current business and participate in identifying new potential clients and partnerships.
  • Work closely with clients and internal executive leadership to drive business directives.
  • Create and implement strategies to achieve company goals and expand the current market footprint.
  • Present and demonstrate technical solutions to current and potential clients.
  • Support the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships.
  • Generate proposals and presentations.
  • Monitor and report on business development activities to internal leadership.
  • Participate in industry events and conferences (will require occasional travel).
